Sheet missing
By PNA Club from Meriden, CT on 9/7/2007
Pros:
Free
Cons:
Stickers small
Best Uses:
at draft
Describe Yourself:
Die Hard Sports Fan
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This year I was missing the first sheet of quarterbacks. A friend of mine was missing a sheet of wrs. In both leagues this was discovered minutes before the draft began. Luckily there were extra blanks on a defense sheet so we wrote in the missing names. I am assuming that this happened to many other leagues.

Size Does Matter
By Commissioner from Detroit, MI on 9/5/2007
Pros:
Stylish Design
Cons:
24 rounds WHY, SMALL SMALL SMALL
Best Uses:
Don't use it
Describe Yourself:
Die Hard Sports Fan
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I don't know why they insist on making this thing to fit 20 teams and 24 rounds. 95% of the leagues have 8-14 teams. Even for the very few leagues that have 20 teams, how are 20 guys supposed to cram around this 5ft by 3ft board anyway? Someone in the marketing dept. at CBS needs to step up and say "if we are going to even bother, why don't we make one that people can actually use?"
As it is now, this draft board is a joke!

The kit should be an incentive to repeat loyalty.[$] Wish they would have informed us ahead of time that it would no longer be free and we would have made our own.

The draft kit is just not worth the time are the effort. I have never used the kit and I have received it free for the past three years. (Just basically worthless!).

Shows Off Team Pride
Cons:
Low Quality Material, Not Authentic Looking, Ugly Design

I was very disappointed with the design and quality of the materials. This should be free for all league commissioners. I decided to customized our own league labels because the print was way to small even if you were huddled around the draft board for four hours.[...]

Useless piece of trash

Flimsy, Labels Too Small, Low Quality Material, Not Authentic Looking, Ugly Design
Best Uses:

Bottom Line:

This board is utterly useless. I'd suggest putting it under your car when you're changing the oil to keep your garage floor clean. This board is not legible from 12 feet away and unless you have 20/20 vision, you still won't be able to see it that "close". The board itself is nothing more than a cheap piece of 20 LB paper with a massive spreadsheet created on it. Take my advice on this...create one in Excel, take it to Kinkos to have blown up to 48"x60" and go that route. [...] has a better board for less money, I suggest going there.

Is free!!!

I got this free. You had to order early for the season. Plan ahead

Way too overpriced, can do without it
By This itum sucks from chicago, illinois on 8/25/2007
Pros:
Authentic Look
Cons:
Lables to small, Low Quality Material, Not Authentic Looking, Permanint marker bleeds
Best Uses:
Not to use it
Describe Yourself:
Die Hard Sports Fan
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

this piece of garbage is way overpriced. years ago we got this free! Now it cost me [$] PLUS sales tax. Labels are way too small, the twelve people in our draft were constantly getting up out of their seats to go up and look at the board. I put this on my wall, and the marker bled through leaving marks all over. i had to repaint it. Unless your draft is sitting less than 10 feet from the board, this draft kit is not worth a penny.

Draft Board Labels need to be bigger
By PB Alum from Augusta, Me on 8/23/2007
Pros:
Authentic Look, Stylish Design
Cons:
Hard to see, Small labels
Best Uses:
Draft Day
Describe Yourself:
Die Hard Sports Fan
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have run a football league for 4 years and play in baseball league that has used the draft board for many years now. We always sign up early so it is free but the labels are way too small and hard to read. When it is free I don't complain but I would not pay money for it. You can make one that is easier to read. An earlier comment I agree with is that the board is set up for 20 teams and 25 rounds and that is why the labels are too small. They should make it 15 teams max allowing the labels to be larger.

Used to be Free! what happened?

I can't believe it costs money now...was a nice addition when it was included. Now you have to renew by early July in order to get it free.

Not at all useful for that price. Make your own.

We used to get this for free when we paid for the Commissioner software. I can't believe that now they charge money for it, especially [$]!!!! I would use it if it were free, but no way I'm spending some good cash on it.

Do not buy this product. Given the price to run a league on CBS Sportsline is above average to begin with, this item should be thrown in for free. If my memory serves me correctly this same board was free a couple of years ago.

Way to expensive for a piece of paper and stickers, should be magnetic so you can take players off if needed, or to use if you hold more than one draft

Don't waste your money
By KosherPigVerified Reviewer from South Florida on 8/10/2007
Cons:
Flimsy Construction, Inauthentic Design, Low Quality Material, tiny stickers, marker, Unoriginal Idea
Best Uses:
At The Event, keeper selection night
Describe Yourself:
Die Hard Sports Fan
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I would never purchase this draft kit. The paper is thin and we throw out the marker in lieu of a sharpie. The stickers are not big enough and manager's constantly need to walk up to the board to see what's what. You have no choice to choose your preference on board squares. It's 20 teams with 24 picks. I'd like to see one more realistic for our 12-team, 18-man rosters, which is more representative of most FF leagues. There are many other, better options out there for a lower price.

Don't Waste Your $$, Even if it's FREE

[...], but what good is it when your owners can't read it. The labels are too small unless you sit really close to the board. If you have a small league you might be ok, but if you want people to be comfortable and not have sit on top of each other you are better off going with something else that fits your needs. I use a draft board where the labels are 1 x 4inches and the owners in my league can read the labels from over 20feet away. The labels that come with CBS's board are only 1 x 2.5 inches and are difficult to see at half that distance.Hope this helps

It really does bleed thru! Last year, my wife made me re-paint the walls after our draft! So, be sure to have some kind of backing before you write with the "Permanent" marker! Other than that, it's a good tool to have. That way you won't miss-spell Houshmandzadeh....

Unless your entire league is sitting less that 10 feet from this thing it is difficult to see. Would it kill CBS to make the lables a little larger?

I really shouldn't knock this product because it does get the job done and all the necessary players are available. However, it's not worth paying the [$] for it. I used to sell draft kits on ebay for less then this, but better!

It is convenient that they include a permanent marker but last year the big draft board was a cheaper type of paper. After mounting it on the wall, we started filling it out with team names, etc. only to discover afterwards that the cheap paper bled through to the wall leaving permanent marker on the wall. Not good! I'm sure we were not the only ones that this happened to.

I am the commissioner of my Fantasy League and we are going on our 8th year. For 4-5 years we have utilized this draft board with the stickers on our draft day. Man, it is just an awesome way to add to the already much anticipated fantasy draft party. The stickers are great. It has contributed to making the draft run smoothly. The days of us writing our draft picks on a blank board are gone thanks to this draft board. The fact that it is included in the renewal of our league is a motivation for us to renew at the earliest opportunity. I definitely agree with the other reviewer regarding the draft day worksheet. That sheet was great. I loved it. However, the draft board alone is greatness. A must have for your draft day!

draft kit two small

Pros:
Authentic Design, Durable Construction
Cons:
Too small
Best Uses:
At The Event, Watching The Event
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

The draft kit is fine, but I have used some other draft kits in the past and liked having the option of a bigger draft board. The labels are too small to be read a much of a distance. I would prefer to upgrade to a larger board with larger labels. It is nice that it is included with the renewal of the site, but I for one would probably pay a little more for a larger board.

It's alright but we miss the worksheet
By The Little Commish from Syracuse, NY on 7/10/2007
Pros:
Good Value
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Two years ago we received blank draft day worksheets that each person could use to follow along with the draft and check their own list. Well, not anymore!?! The picture even still shows the worksheet, but we didn't receive one last year or this year. While most everyone already has enough pieces of paper and magazines on draft day everyone looked forward to this worksheet as their clean master sheet. I can't imagine it was too much money for CBS to include this I think it came with 10 sheets of the same thing (I'd be happy with one and I'd run my own copies), but I guess someone decided it was a way to cut corners. Overall the draft board and stickers are great and coming for free with renewal of the league is great. I can't emphasize enough how nice the board and stickers are, however I also cant emphasize enough how much we miss our worksheets.
